What we offer

PAMCIT universities offer harmonised international Master’s programmes taught in five African countries by language professionals. The programmes mix teaching, practical training, study visits and internships. Students enjoy high quality teaching, varied course content, cultural diversity, international mobility and programmes that are globally and locally relevant.

Overview

The MA in Conference Interpreting and MA in Translation are professional courses designed to enhance the skills and understanding of both first-time interpretation and translation trainees and already practising interpreters and translators. The programmes combine practical skills training with teaching of interpretation and translation theories and methods. They prepare candidates to work as professional interpreters or translators and introduce themes and perspectives that provide a basis for doctoral study. The courses are assessed through coursework with emphasis on practical work, assessment tests and end-of-semester examinations, and a research paper.
